Here are some tips to help you get the most accurate measurements:

  • Measure your child without clothes on. However if they are still in diapers, please keep these on
  • A flexible measuring tape is best. Ensure the measuring tape is close to the body to avoid any slack, but be sure not to pull it tight

 

CHEST

Measure under the armpits, around the fullest part of the chest.

HEAD CIRCUMFERENCE

Measure just above the eyebrows and ears, and across the fullest part of the head.

HEIGHT

Measure from the bottom of the heel to the top of the head. 

HIPS

Measure around the fullest part of the hips and bottom.

LENGTH

Measure from the shoulder to the sole of the foot.

TRUNK

Measure a loop all the way around the torso vertically, from one shoulder to the crotch and then back to the shoulder. If your child is in diapers, please keep this on.

WAIST

Measure around the narrowest part of the waist, which is usually close to the belly button.

WIDTH

Measure the item of clothing from the bottom of one armpit to the bottom of the other armpit.
